No offense but I think he trying to avoid once a month oil changes and you can do better than 10W30 at -10F.

I would speculate that this HDEO starts off with a high TBN of 12 vs residual of 2.1 ........
.... and a HDEO DI package is always higher than that of typical PCMO.
Wear rates appear no good, probably cos of oil oxidation due to too long an OCI.
I would still use this Delvac 5W40, with a reduced OCI though.

right, the idea was to buy the pricey oil and filter so I could extend the OCI especially thru winter...I'll just go back to .79 cent Citgo 5/30 and $2 Quaker State filters @6000...use the D1 stock in my toys.
 
Looks like a really dirty oil filter to me. How does one say it looks good? How do you know if it's still filtering at all?
 
You need to go with thinner oil and shorter OCI's..seriously its not rocket science. The Cr. = 4 should be a wake-up call.
