FRAM TG3600 Cut Open

[HX520W]

This filter is off of a 2002 Ford Windstar 3.8L and was in use for one year and 4,200 miles.

It's a bit odd that there are contaminants on the clean side of the bypass valve. I suppose it's possible that they got there when I cut the filter open but it looks very similar to the deposits on the dirty side which makes me think it's been there a while. It's hard to tell how it got there.
