Schaeffer's # 158 Moly Pure Synthetic Comp. Oil ISO 46 VOA. Line #3 on test is this virgin oil sample. It did not run for 1 hour as stated on test, they do not have a "0" hour setting.

^I am not super experienced with UOA/VOA, but I agree.

I have never seen an oil without a healthy dose of Zinc at least, even when the oil has a lot of Molybdenum.
 
Look at the Atlas Copco $520 for 5 gallon oil in my other post. See what line 3 has on that virgin sample. This is flooded/injected rotary screw air compressor oil. This oil is $170 for 5 gallons.

It does have a small amount of ZDDP as an anti-oxidant, similar to what is found in ATF's.

In fact, many manf. are now specing very low zinc or no zinc levels in their hydraulic oils.

Newer additive chemistry's take care of detergency and dispersancy.
