It may work if it has "DEET" in it and dissolves plastic. Too much can make a real mess.

I've heard that wet sanding them up to 2000 then coating with an automotive clearcoat is the best solution. Anyone done this? I normally just hit them with the rotary when I happen to have it out for whatever reason. Keep a coat of paint sealant on them and spray wax with D156 after every wash, just like the rest of the finish.

This may be a so called "DIY" but it's really effective. You can use your white toothpaste. Just rub it on the whole light then leave it for 30 mins. Then wipe it with a clean cloth.
