Hi, hope this is the right forum, I have an Echo gt2400 weed trimmer. Its an older model but usually runs great.

I rebuilt it with new filters, gaskets and seals, and now it spews raw fuel out of the exhaust and instantly floods the engine when I pull the chord.

It seems like a stuck carb, but I've had it apart twice and everything looks fine. Did I put a fuel line on wrong?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Ryan

Did you take the needle out and make sure there wasn't any debris on the tip or the sides? Also, make sure there isn't any buildup on the walls where the needle sits in. Also, spray carb cleaner through the needle side until it streams through the screen on the other side. For Echo, the carb gets one cleaning, then I'm off to EBay to buy a new one.
