F150....replacing OEM headlights/turn

I have aftermarket housings in my Jeep that lives under the Florida sun.

No leaks
Coating is flawless after 1 year
Wiring harness that came with them was equivalent to OEM
Beam pattern is equal to, or better than OEM

I can list a whole lot of OEM light assemblies that melted and cracked on me, maintained temps above 150F with Sylvania OEM-spec bulbs, and completely Kentucky fried their bulb sockets.

Even more whose light output and beam pattern was garbage from day one.

There are definitely some aftermarkets out there that do not hold up well at all, but the majority will do just as good.

The 10th gen housings are cheap (cost wise).
Depo brand as well as Eagle Eye make good lights for these trucks.
I got this pair off e-bay for $50 shipped. 2 years later and no leaks, lenses are still clear. They came with standard Sylvania bulbs. No wiring to worry about. No burnt sockets. Light output is way better than the old stock housings.
There are also ones with black instead of chrome in the non-reflector part.
Well worth the money.
Do not buy any one piece assemblies or anything made by Spyder, they are junk.

Stop by http://www.f150forum.com/f6/ for a lot of details on you truck (even have some posts on a HID retrofit (not just a HID bulb, but an entire protector housing retrofit).

We have the same truck and I installed depos and the best non blue sylvania bulbs. Installed five years ago and never an issue.
