Oil Shelf Life

Well [censored], I try to get all that "settled" stuff out of my bottles, to the point of leaving a little oil in each bottle, then shaking it real well, then pouring that into another bottle, shaking that one, etc. Here I was thinking I was getting all the settled additives out of the bottle into my oil, but maybe I am getting all the settled "trash" into my oil? Oh well, it has not hurt it so far...
Maybe from now on I will just pour it in and not even look in the bottle.

Now I'm going to have to get a paint shaker to ensure I get all the additives mixed in, then filter it, before pouring, through something that will get me down effectively to 5 microns or less. That shouldn't be a problem at all, right?
