Why would you remove it? And how far do you tighten your filters? Even if you removed it (I wouldn't), it will be fine.
 
keep the filter on and avoid a new filter dry start up its actually better for the engine.. I change my oil every 4000 or so miles and the filter on the third change. I run the ultras to about 12,000 miles or 1 year with zero issues.
 
Up to 15,500 miles on the xB's Ultra (XG3600), it's been just over a year. Didn't drain it when I changed the oil @ 10K, 4500 to go on the current fill of 5W30 EP, no urge to change it at all.
 
If you are changing oil that often (much too soon for synthetic), then leave the filter on.
 
For such short intervals, why not just use a Supertech? One filter, one OCI

I changed my Fram Ultra after just shy of 14k miles. I also left the filter on the car during the two oil changes. My filter looked just fine when I cut it open.
