Hi all, I know well this site, forum and is good reputation.
I registered to made some search around in the forum, but I didn't found what I was looking for, so I'm here to ask an help.
I bought this car last year with 59.000 kilometres on the ODO.
I'm in trouble with the choice.
I can use a 0w30 or 5w30 without problem, now there is a 0w30.

I saw the CASTROL EDGE with FST 0W30 and the Mobil 1 ESP 0W30

Here the technical detail from their site:

It seems slight better the Mobil 1 but I don't know anything about used analysis of this two oil or if Castrol has a better protection thanks to the FST.
Anyone know anything about?

Thanks!

Thanks for reply.
Manual says about MB Approval to be respected 229.5/229.51 or upper.
For the grade, it says 5W30 but a recent update says also 0W30 is good with MB Approval 229.52

Both oils are in the list of approved oil by MB.

Thank you everybody for the answers.

I'll go with Mobil 1. My perplexity is only about what will be the best on the long-distance. MB set an interval of 25.000 Km between services with an 229.52 (0W30) oil.

Maybe sticking with a 229,52 oil is better, if the car is still under warranty?

Petronas Syntium 7000 DM is what I assume the factory fill (to be verified)

Since the op is in Italy, shouldn't be a problem to source, at least online
