I am curious, in what year did BITOG start as a website/forum?

2002 is when the forum started, I believe.
If you go to the bottom of the forum page, and select the last one, it might give an idea as to age of that sub-forum page.
Did that the other night in the humor sub-forum, it goes back to 2004. Kinda surprising how many of the "big" names here were already here back then.

Pretty sure it's around 02. My reg shows 05 but that is my second userid. I was one of the first, my original userid was oldmoparguy. My account got trashed somehow and it was just easier to start over. I was way more active back then. Over the years I have dropped out a time or two.

Number 1 was Bob I believe and he had sold the forum to Tony and Helen at some point.
Bob (the oil guy) used to be member 1. I think they retired his user account.
#407, RtexasF I met on the Accord forum and he still posts on here.

I was lucky enough to have lunch with member #1 in September of 2005 while in Jacksonville for a car club meet. Very pleasant and entertaining guy.

Wow, so there actually was a Bob? I always wondered that. Who are Tony and Helen? Do they still post? Pretty neat to get the back story to BITOG.

Tony purchased BITOG from Bob. When Tony passed away, his wife Helen took over. Helen still posts once in a while.
I don't remember, but, I was one of the early ones.
