Cut open a Champion C165. Ran ~9000km with Shell Helix Ultra 0w-40 in a Saab 900 turbo 16.

Had some trouble trying to open it, that's why the housing is deformed (and also why there is a scar on the media). More pics and text (in german) on my blog: https://turboseize.wordpress.com/2016/05/25/was-steckt-eigentlich-in-einem-oelfilter/

+ lots of pleats, so probably large surface
+ even spacing of pleats
+ no tears
+ nice construction (metal end caps, spiral core, coil spring)

- adbv is only rubber
- too much glue?

Looks quite ok to me. what do you think?

looks identical to the Prime Guard used in quick lube places. Found one on a car my friend bought for a guy who used such a place, other then them putting on one WAY under sized it looked like it held up after cutting it, And i also had a [censored] of a time opening it, case was like a tank

Looks like a nice filter ... lots of pleats for sure.

The short neck on the end cap and the baseplate shape look like the Microgreen I cut open, made in Mexico. I don't see how the ADBV functions, unless the element moves up on the coil spring. But it is sometimes hard to judge by pictures. I assembled mine together to find this:
