Motul as a shop fill in Europe would make a lot more sense than it would here.

As long as you're ok running the ESP version (Mobil website lists at 3.58). All the other 5w-30's don't exceed 3.3.

I believe edyvw was inferring the use of Red Line 5W-30 (which has that shy high for a 5W-30 HTHSV), NOT any of the Mobil 1 products in that post.

I was referring to RL 5W30. Not sure what ESP has to do with this topic.
By the way, many 5W30 exceed HTHS of 3.5 (all Euro spec. 5W30).

Auto manufacturers use the thin oil to appease the CAFE bureaucrats.

That way, the USEPA can save the world... well, at least the portion of the world bounded by the geographic limits of the USA.

They won't save the portion of the world where China, Mexico, India, and other third world markets are located, however.

Depends in what part of this world the vehicle is being used.
