For what it's worth, I have a 2010 Fusion with the 2.5, which just hit 215,000 miles.. Have had no problems with it, outside of the normal standard maintenance... well besides having to replace the Belt Tensioner right after I bought it used. That was easy though.
Besides the belt tensioner, all I've had to do were oil changes, new tires, new plugs, and the occasional tire rotations. Brakes are still good, but I expect I'll be replacing pads sometime this year.
