Boss the 5w30 will be a quieter oil but those Hyundai 3.5 engines are all noisy at cold start up.. They are also a very long lasting engine just noist at cold start up.

I don't know about the Forte, but my wife's car is a 2013 Rio with a 1.4L motor and it doesn't have hydraulic lifters. Just solid tappets. So, to my ear, it does have a little bit more valve ticking than cars with hydraulic lifters.
