There was a video I never got around to watching on youtube that was posted on here (from either GM or Lubrizol) pertaining to how the future of motor oil will be that you buy the oil from the dealer/OEM only because it will be made to such strict standards that comply specifically for that engine. Can anyone link me to that? Thank you.

I think that is coming whether we like it or not, besides, most vehicles come with free service for a couple of years.

If a manufacture offers a 100,000 mile warranty on the power train on a vehicle with stop-start technology and does all the oil changes for free, or optional, included with an extended warranty program, it's a win-win situation for all.
