Its a Civic. An economy-tilted car. Yes the "EX" is the higher revving more powerful version (still under 130hp), but you will be fine with any 0w20 or 5w20.

If it leaks/uses oil, try 5w30 or a high mileage 5w20.

Buy whats on sale/rebate. Let price decide for you, because the "difference" in specs are not noticeable on a NA 4banger.

Take the $ saved on oil, buy a Fram Ultra and leave that filter on for up to 15k miles. Less mess, better filtration and saves more $.

Do this and your engine will outlast the body.
