A friend who has a 2007 Rav4 4cyl has to replace the oxygen sensors. He would like to know how many of them the 07 Rav4 has.

As far as I know that car has only 2 of them, the downstream sensor and the air fuel ratio sensor, am I wrong?

If it has the I4 engine there is an 1 upstream (A/F sensor) in the exhaust manifold; it should be visible when you open the hood and look into the engine bay. There is 1 downstream aft of the Pass. side tire in the exhaust pipe, you have to crawl underneath perpendicular to get the best angle to see and R & R that one. Overall, not that hard of a job. I used Denso and reset the ECM so it could relearn; good time to change the plugs if they are close to their mileage. Good luck

The top one on the exhaust manifold is usually the one that goes bad. It's easier to get to and change.

Amazon sells the Denso ones for about $55 each.

I didn't reset the ECU when I changed mine out.
