I can't think of any decorative lug nut that wouldn't have problems in salt.

I have a set of these on my Gen Coupe for 5 years now. Just repainted them this year but no rusting problems.

2-piece lug nuts have a drawn sheet metal cover that's been chrome plated and pressed onto a steel lug nut. I've seen the covers get loose and fall off, or alternately, corrosion builds up under the cover causing it to swell and the lug wrench may have trouble fitting on the lug nut. They can be troublesome.

Then there are 2-piece lug nuts like I have for use on my TRD forged aluminum wheels:

Made by McGard, sold by Toyota under there TRD brand name. The mating surface rotates independently of the splined body of the nut.
