Hidden gem for ex-K&N Filter users

If at one time you ran a K&N oiled filter in a vehicle and bought one of the filter cleaning kits, but no longer use K&N filters, you may still have that filter cleaning kit sitting in the garage collecting dust.

While the red dyed aerosol oil isn't something I found any uses for, the spray solution used to clean the filter is an EXCELLENT degreaser.

I've been a die hard Simple Green user for quite some time, but this K&N cleaning solution knocks it out of the park on almost anything it touches. It's a shame that it comes in such a small bottle.

The MSDS indicates that one of the primary ingredients is SODIUM METASILICATE PENTAHYDRATE.


sodium metasilicate is a great degreaser. my pressure wash soaps were mostly that. worked better than sodium hydroxide. And safer to
