I have 3 coats of FK1000P on my Accord. I'm wanting to give it the depth of Collinite #915. It's real "plastic" looking now, which is common with FK1000P.

Will the #915 basically dissolve and remove well cured FK1000P?

BTW...I used one of those special skin sponges, instead of clay, WOW!! I'm sold forever!!

I don't think the #915 has any cleaners in it so you should be fine. I believe it's a mixture of polymers and natural carnauba which is where the deep shine comes from. Kind of like the best of both worlds. So I would say go for it and see how you like the results.

Which nanoskin sponge did you like better, the fine or medium grade one?

Fine grade nanoskin.

I used Dawn to wash the car to strip it. Then fresh Dawn wash water to lubricate the sponge. Then Maguire's Ultimate Polish. Then 3 coats of FK1000P.

Each coat, I apply in the evening. Buff off in the morning after complete cure. Repeat 3 times.

#915 going on tomorrow as a topper.
