ERR, the picture looks real nice, BUT mixing 2 different types of oil from 2 different manufacturers who use very different base stocks, can result in some real odd chemistry. The final result of adding an, "Orange box of death", is not going to be the same as the real deal.

The biggest mistake is when you keep changing between a high detergent full synthetic and a cheap low detergent dinosaur oil. I've seen UOA results for Castrol GTX 10w40 and M1 0w30, that were far worse than those with just one or the other.

My Last changes:
1.9TD: Liqui Moly Synthoil 5w40 (A3/B4) after 17k (Max limit 20K).
Twingo 1.2 (16v): Shell Ultra 5w40 (A3/B4) after 50K (Max limit 30K).

I've just stocked up on Shell Ultra 0w40 (A3/B4) and Mann filters for both cars.
One can of Liqui Moly Ceratec between the 2 greatest old times (Renault Migraine long range horse boxer and Twingo short range track cruiser).

OCI: 17,072 miles

02 Elantra
192K miles on engine, 3600 miles on oil. I have a trip coming up this weekend and didn't want to go drastically over my 4000 mile OCI or feel that I needed to pay the dealer to do it next week during inspection!

Out: 4 quarts 10W-30 MaxLife, Microgard filter
In: 4 quarts 10W-30 Havoline conventional, ST filter

Also, I'll see how the SuperTech filter is. I've seen in passing on the forum that they are good for a cheap filter.

7,520 miles on oil. 4 months in service.

Out:
Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w20

Havoline HiMi 5w20
NAPA Gold Filter

I was hesitant to put the HiMi oil in there. I have 4 more OCIs of this stuff left in my stash. Bought this when Amazon had the crazy low prices, couldn't pass it up.

I'm going to run a 5k interval this time.

The PUP is going to Blackstone for a UOA

Replaced both filter and oil with the same products.
