Just read the thread about the RV and low miles OCI question and like a lot of other similar threads there is always someone that replies with "whats the owner's manual say". Which I agree with, no sense in trying to second guess the designers.

So my question, does the owner's manual oil schedule for these types of vehicles take into consideration it may only be driven once/twice a year for X amount of miles a time?

Never owned an RV or plan on owning one, just curious!
 
Don't see why an RV's owner manual wouldn't address those questions just like any passenger car or truck. Typically, the OM states that you don't exceed 1 yr between oil changes, regardless of miles driven. And if the vehicle is equipped with a modern oil life monitor system it will normally time out within 1 year as well. Could be exceptions though.
 
I was just curious if the manual would take it further knowing RVs aren't DD and would sit for longer periods of time.
