Question on this spec...SN -RC

Back in Arizona. Finally
Saw this at the local Cal Ranch store:

I tried to figure out what the RC spec is, but it's beyond what my head can handle...
Please educate me!
 
Well now that I can see these pictures on my iPad I can answer my own question - RC = resource conserving. I actually googled that and all I got was a ton to graphs and tables. Couldn't make heads or tails of it all. Sorry guys!
 
So ILSAC is always RC, but you can have SN with no ILSAC and get RC? Id like to see that combo anywhere. I guess an ACEA A1 ,A5 might just want to cert for API-SN RC - other than that, seems like redundant and confusing labeling.

I bet most ignorant consumers (80%?) buy the GRADE and then a fraction of those may look for the API starburst. Just going buy the "confusion" I often see in the Wallyworld aisles.
