Anyone know where i can get Original Hyundai Power Steering Fluid PSF-3 ??
My sons friend bought a really nice 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe with a 3.5 v6 engine and he wants me to change his power steering fluid that looks original. It has 130,000 miles on it in which he put about 10,000 miles on it since he had it.
He picked up PSF-4 from a dealer in N.Y. but could not seem to find PSF-3 which is in his owners manual. I just saw the fluid he got but it is the wrong one.. I wanted to change it for him sometime over the weekend.

My suspicion is that PSF-4 is an update and is backwards-compatible with PSF-3.

Have you read the label on the bottle?

Yes i read the bottle it says PSF-4 can be used in a PSF-3 system but it has to be drained and totally refilled with all PSF-4

I prefer to use what the OM says.. That always worked for me.
Also My sons friend Scott says it is a different color.

There's more out there if you search . . . if you devote enough of the time on your hands that is

You can use Maxlife ATF or buy Red line power steering fluid. I use Red line in our 2011 SF 3.5 V6 and it works great...

Is your 2011 leaking?
I had a small leak in the power steering of my 2011 Santa Fe since it was new it leaked very slightly.

Is your 3.5 noisy on start up like the rest of them?
