I found this oil in a local store today, the same that has Valvoline 15w50 and 20W50 on the shelves but otherwise is more a dollar store.

BO Super Grade 5W30;
API SN/CF
ACEA A3/B3/B4 C2/C3-10
VW 502.00/505.00/505.01
MB 229.31/229.51
BMW LL-04
GM-LL-B-025/DEXOS 2
Renault RN0700
PSA B71 2290
Ford WSS-M2C934-B

Density 20°C Kg/L 0,854
Viscosity 100°C cSt 11,4
Viscosity 40°C cSt 65,3
Viscosity -30°C cP Viscosity Index 170
Flash point COC °C 218
Pour Point °C -39
SAPS weight% 0,79
TBN mg/KOH/g 8,5

Calculated Harman Index: 0.95

Seems interesting although I really want high saps

ACEA A3/B4 is not possible

Also the C3 claim is based on 2010. Using the year after the spec shouldn't be used on he bottle. It suggest the oil doesn't meet ACEA 2012 either.

Rest of the specs look decent but are we sure they are approvals or 'meets the requirements' of type claims ?

If they are approvals, at least the oil should be on the MB list...

I would expect the A3/B4 claim only to be possible to 2008 levels as the TBN is too low otherwise.

You can't have both A3/B4 and C3. Alas Acea is a self certification system, although some small mixers just print their own approvals.

BO is a Dutch mob operation:
Body Odor motorils link

This claim on their web site is beyond belief:
BO Motor Oil has become one of the largest independent manufacturers of lubricants and specialists in the Netherlands and the larger part of Europe.

Castrol and Liqui Moly are neck and neck in joint first position, Shell are number 3 and Mobil number 4 for cars. Fuchs (They own Liqui Moly) are no 1 for commercial vehicles including farm equipment, they also make some real good factory fill oils and hydraulic fluids.

I might use it if it's gold coloured and I was selling a dodgy used car to a person I thought should not be driving.
