'95 BMW 318iC;

155,055 car, about 3k and 5.5 months oil.

Out: Defy 10W-40, Mahle oil filter.

In: Defy 10W-40, Mahle oil filter.

This was my last jug of Defy, so I figured I'd use it before moving on to M1 HM 10W-30.
Defy is not a happy match for this engine, since it shows much higher consumption than was the case with either M1 15W-50 or Maxlife 10W-40.

I changed the oil in my Girlfriend's Sable this weekend.
228k miles on engine, 3500 miles on oil.

The timing cover leak on this car has gotten progressively worse. It is finally time to pull the engine/Trans out of the car and reseal the cover. Book time on it is about 18 hours.

Out: Rotella T 15w40 & MC filter
In: Rotella T6 5w40 & MC filter

Oil only had 2,100 miles on it but had been in the sump for a year. Greased the front end.

The drive train has developed a vibration a slow speeds when turning or pulling a load. We have a decent tranny shop down the road. Looks like she'll be going there to get checked out.

That one's my mother's car. I bought it for her at a junkyard in 1999. It had 19k then. It is a 2 door and solid still, but needs some surface work this summer when I am back up there.

2015 GMC Yukon Denali

8 quarts QSUD 0W20 Dexos, AcDelco PF63 ecore filter

12k miles

buddies wifes vehicle

For such an expensive new vehicle, the ride quality and the way it handles is horrible, also a lot of wind noise. Accelerator pedal is extremely sensitive, although it has great acceleration with the 6.2

Make-up oil was about .75 (3/4) of a quart. So she consumed probably 2 to 3 pints.

Same Repco Z154 filter.

I was going to do 12 months and 15,000KM on the synthetic SHU, but in the end I changed it after 3months and 4,000 KM. I think the oil and filter is still in good condition, that's why I'm happy to leave the filter in. But I changed from a high VI 40 weight oil to a lower VI 40 weight oil, to see if it warmed up quicker with my cold engine tick.

Once I run it for a bit, I'll report my findings here
http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/4056672

That GTL oil, changed early, does seem to clean the engine up very nicely (looking through the oil fill hole).
