We have an 08 Escape V6 that is due for front brake pads (and rotors too, most likely).

Two types of Motorcraft pads are showing as fitting: BR-1047-B (Ford Retail Spec) and BRF-1047-A.

I'm asking here because I don't have a lot of experience with Ford parts, but I know a lot of folks here do. What is the difference between these pads, if any? The BR-1047-B state Ford Retail Spec in the description, but that is the only difference I see other than price. The BRF-1047-A are a couple dollars more expensive.

Thanks.

The BRF pads are the OEM parts. If you look at the long numbers the OEM parts have a base number of 2001 while Motorcraft have 2V001 for front pads.
