AC question, 03 nissan xterra 3.3 NA

Had to pull the evap to get to the heater core. Replaced lost oil. Vacuumed system down for an hour. Releases vacuum and changed drier.

Pulled a second vacuum for an hour. Let it hold a vacuum for a few hours.

Added 25 ounces of r134 with AC on high.

It kicked pn at about 20 psi and I added until I hit 43 psi.

Ambient temps are 85ish with nearly that much humidity.


Gauge readings are 43 on the low side and 225ish on the high side. Air is blowing cold, high 40s not on recirc, low 40s on recirc.

Are those readings good?
 
I'm no expert but the low side pressure seems a little high to me. When servicing you should have a good strong fan blowing on the condenser.
 
These numbers look normal to me. You want a temperature that is just a few degrees above freezing, otherwise ice forms on the evaporator and that has a negative impact on cooling.
