I just purchased new wheels for my Honda.
The shop I dealt with uses PVD chrome plating, instead of traditional chrome. It's just a modified powder coat that holds up better than real chrome.
I am a chemist in the plating industry. what type of chrome plating are they providing? Micro-cracked?
From what I've read on, extensively, unless there was a real reason to go with REAL chrome plating, I'd stick with PVD Chrome.
I used a company called Detroit Wheel and Tire. They have a big Ebay store as well. They do wheel exchanges there.
