In sig: high-revving 400CC single (7500-8500RPM on the highway), does NOT have a wet clutch, holds about a quart and a half. Doesn't like synthetic oil (burns it).

Any reason not to run 15W-40 HDEO in this?

THere's more than one synthetic in more than one grade out there.

HDEO is fine, no reason not to use it. I'd even go so far as to say Valvoline VR1 20w50 would be just the ticket. You say it burns synthetic, which synthetics have you run in it?

Unusual, IMO to burn a syn, but not a conventional. VR1 is a stout conventional. I've run Havoline conventional 20w50 in the past with good results in air cooled one lung scooters as well.

Fairly common for Burgman 400's, actually. Nobody knows why, but I'm not the only one on BurgmanUSA that has it happen.
