Changed the factory fill in my buddies 2011 Chevy 1500 with the 8.6 rear end, 107,691 miles. It actually didnt look too bad. I refilled it with Valvoline Synpower 75W90. What puzzles me is, on the Amsoil spec page it calls for 2.1 quarts, with 2 quarts in it, i stuck my pinky in the fill hole and it came out dry. I then put in another quart for 3 quarts total, and it still wasnt leaking out the fill hole. I then put my pinky in again and I could feel the wall of the cover and still couldnt feel any fluid, but my finger was full of oil when i pulled it out. Should I add more or leave it be? I just dont want anything to happen to the truck.
