Doing short OCIs to clean out the sludge. Change oil based on cleanliness. This time it took 2k miles to get dirty. Last time it was like 1200 miles or so. Anyways.
OUT: Delo 5w40 and Purolator L20195
IN: Mobil Super Synthetic 0w20 and Motorcraft FL400S
So far so good

Short intervals are over, planning on running this for a more normal 5 or 6k miles.

Drained out factory oil out the rear diff
Painted cover high heat black, torqued all bolts to 25 ft lbs and filled it up with Amsoil Severe Gear 75W90. Should be good for another 100k

Yesterday, performed a piston soak. Step 1, PB Blaster. Step 2, Rislone Engine Treatment Concentrate. Multiple spins with the starter, then left it overnight.
Today, drained the oil and filled up with Valvoline NG 5w-30 and a bottle of Motor Medic flush. Idled for 15 minutes. Drained and refilled with more Valvoline. Idled that for 7 minutes.
Drained and then installed a new PSL20195. Filled with ~2.8 quarts of Mobil 1 TDT 5w-40, a quart of MMO and a bottle of STP HM.
The old oil and filter (FL-400S) had 6201 miles on it. I will cut the filter some time soon and provide pics.

2010 Hyundai Elantra, at 102,205 miles. Using a Motorcraft filter, and a mix of weights (using what I had on hand), 1 qt 0w-20, 1 qt 20w-50, 2 qts 5w-20, for an approximate average close to 10w-30 (or 7.5w-27.5 if the bottled weights are exact). Brands used: Valvoline, Supertech, and two quarts O'reilly store brand.
ATF drain and fill, 3 qts of Valvoline Maxlife, compatible with the SPIII requirement.
This vehicle was purchased used, at about 70,000 miles. Prior to now, I'd always use 20w-50, with the logic that thicker oil would be superior in my hot climate. Now, I'll follow the manufacturer's recommendation of 5w-20, 5w-30, or 10w-30, given what I have learned since then.
