Anyone know where to find an oil analysis on GM #88861800 for MT's and transfer cases that replaced the original Dex III? Been looking for over an hour this morning and got nowhere.

Bitog shows one UOA.... on an 8K mile Vette with factory fill. Those numbers show a weak add package and high shearability. No way to know if that was GM stuff or just generic ATF. Would like to find some actual "documents" showing that GM 88861800 isn't just generic rebranded ATF Dex III.

8200 mile 2010 Vette factory fluid UOA

Boron - 105 ppm
Calcium - 25 ppm
Phos - 325 ppm

Other AW and organic additives included.

Vis@100C = 7.5 cSt.

Thanks MolaKule. Those #'s are certainly beefier than the low mileage Corvette UOA linked above. A few hundred ppm Zinc would have been nice. I may go with this in my next fluid change.

Very easy to find VOA's on engine oils. Finding them for transmission fluids is hard.

There is nothing beefy about the GM swill.

If you MUST use an ATF, there ARE better products out there such as the Redline D4 and the Amsoil TorqueDrive.
