On my motorcycle, the rear wheel bearings are asymmetrical; the right (brake) side is a typical cartridge ball bearing setup but the other side is an actual roller bearing (drive side, its a shaft drive with a final drive assembly on the rear wheel).
Given what people like to say about moly and roller bearings I have avoided this the last time I cleaned/repacked but I did use Mobil synthetic grease. I want to replace this so I don't feel compelled to overhaul this bearing yearly due to seperation but can't find a good source of Chevron Ultra Duty EP2 (Spicer-recommended for roller bearings). I know there are many good options but is there anything more appropriate than the Synpower in my greae gun or the M1 that I currently use in the bearing?
