Does anyone have a recommendation for oil for a 1952 Hudson Hornet? I have been thinking of my "mid-life" crisis car, and this could be it.

I've used Chevron Delo 400 15W-40 in my Studebakers for well over 30 years with excellent results. Being that you are in Delaware an HDEO 10W-30 would also be a good choice for a Hudson engine.

Does this Hudson have a straight 6 engine, the H-145 model?

Like mentioned above, 10/30 in winter and 15/40 for summer.

I have used these Rotella flavors in my 1951 GMC straight 6....they have performed well.

My 2 cents

Like good ol' Doc Hudson!

I agree with the HDEO requirement. Amsoil ZRod is a good choice too, but may be problematic depending upon how original stuff is in there, and if the originality of the engine and whatnot matters...

Does the '52 have the cork clutch? I would be seeking the local Hudson club. Out on 140 in Franklin is a push me pulleee you. 2 Hudsons cut off at the B pillar and joined together
