I bought a new PCV valve from Napa that I'm getting ready to install in my 2011 Kia Soul. I know it's supposed to let air through in one direction only but I couldn't help but test it by blowing through it. Air passed freely in one direction as it should but I was surprised that in the opposite "closed" direction it wasn't 100% sealed, I could hear a small amount of air passing through. It was a very small amount but it was there, and it stopped when I put my finger over the end. Is this normal/acceptable and close is good enough, or is this just a poor PCV that I should just return? I wouldn't think these things would be that tough to get right for aftermarket mfrs.
