I'm not surprised the age demographic was around 49, Toyota is my generations Buick.

They did. What toyota equivalent was there for the xB, tC, xA in the USA? The xB especially was very odd when it was introduced.

You mean small....

Hated everything about Scion from No Haggle to the fact the FRS came without Toyota badges.

Something I like about the newer XBs....

Me too...but I'd probably buy a Soul first.

When the Scion line gets killed, what are they going to sell the final models for? If the price drop is huge, my father might buy one.

I'm totally amazed that they forced it to last this long. It should have been cut loose many years ago. When some corporate bigwig has the power he/she can force anything to last far longer than its normal lifespan.

This was a turd in the punchbowl right from the start.

Nope, they just become toyotas again....

When I watched the local news about Scion, I was surprised the one and only Scion dealership here sold about 12,000 since 2004. Corollas can sell that much in a year.

So much for Toyota trying to push a brand towards younger people...didn't work for me lol.

I think the misinformation is there. Despite everything the article claims, the numbers reflect that the typical consumer of most Scion vehicles was crickets, and sales have been dwindling for some time.

They're killing the TC, despite it being one of their biggest sellers, but keeping the other stuff? Something stinks here.....like fish.

This is clearly an attempt to portray failure as victory, and then shutter all of the rebadged Scion vehicles after a period of time when their cancellation will not be directly linked to the disappearance of the Scion brand.

What's really interesting is the key mass of data that is missing: The figures and specs of what Scion-influenced changes were made at Toyota, and what positive results came about as a result.

This article reads like an awkward couple trying to explain to their children how divorce will be good for the family.

Toyota handed us the same load of dung when they killed all of the sportscars, and then later admitted that they hated building sportscars, and disliked the consumers who bought them.

The only good Toyota was the factory celica gt4 in Castrol colours. Scion was like the red-haired step brother, and embarrassment the family is better off without.
Besides, scion was never a car company anyway, no more than Acura or Maybach or any other offshoot derivative that only exists for marketing reasons, I say good riddance to them.

Some truth to that. Wish I still had the motor trend when those cars came out...article even mentioned they figured it might be a ten year deal or so...
