Yacco is a small french company of enormous prestige, dedicated to the production of mainly "boutique" lubricants, quite respected in motorsports comunity. One of their big advantages is that they complete all their production in France, no outsourcing for lowering costs - which by the other hand is the reason why their oils are not available in gas-stations, shopping centers and grocery stores.

Interesting...tnx

http://en.yacco.com

But on the other hand...it sounds exactly like all adverisements for gunlubes (if you are reading firearms subforum)...

Whoever they are...they must buy their oilstock from bigger players on the market...

If they are good...and cheaper then shell/motul/castrol..than ok...

But if they are more expensive then competitors...than they are just ripping off their customers...

I thought they were part of the Total Fina Elf group?

Here for example Yacco Galaxie 15W50 is the same price as Motul 300V 15W50, but on paper some more interesting specs (pour point -46°). Their advertisement is also indicative of the technology (pao, ester, pao + ester, no pao/no ester, etc).

More "ordinary" products (not the "Galaxie" line) are probably cheaper, since you tend to found them a lot in small garages.

Yacco oils are sold as a cheaper alternative to a more established brands over here. At least one car parts store chain is pushing it into a market.
