I ordered a gold plug drain plug and some crush washers and it came with a flyer for this product, looks pretty interesting. One review on amazon says the o ring is the weak link but its otherwise sweet.

Anyone have one? Thoughts otherwise?

The current EPA mandated cans cannot have vents.

The vents are built into the nozzle now.

...and these disasters have been foisted upon Canada, too, since no one is going to build to different types of gas cans for North American market.

Yeah, my 20L diesel can has one of those nozzles.

Only way to get it to function properly is to completely invert it in one motion.

Great if I've got 30L of room and 20L in the can, but no use at all for a top off.
Wonder how many gallons have been spilled on people's feet for a few mg of vapour saved.

The only way to find some good cans is at garage sales.

Balancing between a dock and a boat Gilligan's Island style and Filling up a 40 gallon fuel tank with the new "spring sealed" cans just isn't fun.

Plug the hole with your thumb until youre ready to pour.

+1

My solution was to go up to Canada and buy the right ones with an old fashioned pour tube and a real vent.

I have 2 of those cursed cans. I can't get either spout to work. Fortunately, I got lucky. I found an early 1 1/2 gal can in my front yard. Blown off someones equipment trailer I guess. It has a vent less spout that actually works. I just transfer the spout from can to can. Eventually, I will get a conversion kit off of ebay and fix them permanently.

yep to not vent .1oz of fuel vapor we now dump 2-3oz of gas on the ground.. isnt it great EPA??!

Looks like a great Ideal, if your stuck with the horrid cans.

I upgraded to Eagle Safety cans, and 5 gal NATO cans, you can still buy them. At the time I thought if gas was $5 a gallon, I could afford a Heavy Duty metal can since I could not afford to spill it!

I was thinking about one for each side of the can
