Service Pro 5w-40

This was used by independent euro shop for 2010 BMW 328i. I was hopeful that they in fact used Redline lubes but learned differently today.

I did some investigating and learned that this is blended to the MB spec amongst other things I was told the base is grp III.

While I can't find fault in the formulation it makes me wonder how oil is blended to a MB spec without MB providing specific requirements?

Today 2 gallons of Red line 5w 40 arrived for my next fill. Hoping to run UOA on the Service Pro to learn what it has yielded for the past 7k miles.

I didn't get a sample of the service pro but Redline 5w40 is now installed.

The MPG, for the first time under my ownership is tracking at 32.x for my avg. Under the service pro 5w40 best was 27.x

My hope is to have long ownership with highest performance and economy. Price of the oil is not an issue.
