Motosel... VOAs to follow soon.

Hey BITOGers I'll be conducting a VOA on Motosel. I bought two grades of their oil. PCMO 5W30 Syn Blend and HDEO 15W40. I tried to get the newer bottle of 15W40 syn blend but they didn't have it at the parts store.


I got my fluid analysis kits from John Deere. $25 per kit. Prepaid shipping. Not sure if it includes TBN reading though.

The Motosel was...
$3.66 for 5W30
$4.25 for 15W40

Seems like there is something wrong with their 5W30... They claim this on their 5W30 but its not on the bottle.

It'll be interesting to see what turns up. The pricing you quote is reasonable, but not knocking down any doors, and certainly isn't beating anything from the big name distributors. I love the wording "comparable to." They don't even bother with meets or exceeds.
