any opinions on Belray

Belray was a top line 2-stroke oil when I had a high performance ATC back in the early 80's. Any lesser oil caused big problems!

It's a good oil. Used it a couple of times in the past. I would have no problems using it again. Like others have said, it's been around a long time and is now owned by Calumet (since 2013 I believe). You can trust it.

A lot of outboard class offshore racing guys swear by it. You will see jugs of it at any boat race. They make an awesome (but expensive) rust preventative oil too. Quality stuff. Judging by their MSDS, they make good stuff.

It's good stuff, I used it in two stroke dirt bikes in the past. It wasn't my preferred lube, but it seemed to do well. I knew a couple guys who ran it exclusively and their stuff lasted as long as anyone's.
