After much trepidation, I plunged into replacing a bad headlight in my '07 Prius. The dealer wanted like $300+ (they're HID bulbs) and most of the instructions I've seen online requires taking off half the front end but nevertheless I decided to take a whack at it myself. I bought an OEM Philips HID off amazon for $40, so right there I was saving over $100. I saw one shortcut on youtube and much to my surprise it actually worked, I was able to just barely get to the bulb with only removing one screw, tight squeeze and partially blind but it worked. 20 minutes and I was done. Done I tell you!
So this is my Victory lap for the day. $40 and 20 minutes time, I earned my keep for the week.
