I'm making large batches of mold control polymer which consists of a ratio of TSP/Sodium Carb/Sodium Bicarb.

If the water is heated the solution will mix up good but will quickly crystalize and clog up sprayers when cooled down.

Is there a trick to keeping TSP etc mixed up (Like another chem, or changing ph or something?) or do you basically have to just be super careful mixing and rinsing your gear?

A few different thoughts:

A) Are you using this and then cleaning off, like walkways, decks, walls? If so, TSP and bleach works well and won't precipitate out.

B) If spray on/leave on, maybe you have too much the baking soda and wash powder - they may be reacting with the TSP solutes or each other.

C) If you have really hard water, it may have ions in it causing the precipitate.

So I'd reduce the soda ash and baking soda, OR use distilled water.

Over saturating the mix, warm or hot water keeps thinks in solution better than cold. When it cools down the mix is super saturated and starts to crystallize. Can you use more water?
