One of the smartest things they ever did. Stock location of the filter is a beast to get in and out. It's so tight up in there, a regular cap wrench doesn't even fit.

Having maintained one of these (and replaced those remote lines which barely last 100k, twice) it was a good idea on paper that they screwed up.
Yes there are some inthe access panel in the bumper. some also had it mounted by the driverside headlight. At least, I've seen several mounted in both locations. Idk why tho.
was it certain year models or was it a option thing?
