Not my car so no service manual here. Exterior door handle install. Held by 2 bolts from interior. Remove interior door panel. Key question is: Does the glass need to be removed? With window all the way up, is there access to handle for removal and installation? Drivers door.

I've changed it out on my '99, the 2003 should be similar since it is still a first-gen model. You do not have to remove the glass (have it all the way up), and there were three bolts I think for mine. One is near the lock mechanism.

Getting it out is easier than getting it back in, and the biggest issue is the lock rods (and their associated clips). I believe there are two rods.

I have the service manual and it isn't much help, but there are some websites:

Glass stays in, just have to flip the plastic clips so that the lock rod will fall out of the clip, once unbolted you can pop it out and a new one in. Pay attention to which lock rod goes to which plastic clip, that way you won't be fighting it.
