calcium if present in 2 stroke oil could be a fuel borne catalyst and in diesel engines speed up combustion the mixed controlled combustion phase, resulting in less soot, more power and lower fuel consumption.

Enerburn promotes something similar, and claims big improvements.

So does MoDTC in the fuel, but it has to be a special MoDTC.

There's many I suppose, but I immediately remembered that I'd seen calcium mentioned in quite a few 2-stroke oils and that could explain at least some of the claims by 2-stroke users in diesel engines.

Would the MoDTC also have FM properties in the fuel system (high pressure fuel pump) or in the cylinder (top piston ring)?
