Topping off Honda Blue coolant with Peak

The reality is Honda doesn't manufacture coolants or motor oils - they solicit bids from major oil manufacturers.

Colored coolants are becoming popular so the consumer has to purchase that same fluid or risk having their coolant turn brown when mixed with other colors (expect possibly gold or yellow which mimic the color of the existing fluid).

Topping off at the dealer is a great idea or, if you can get a Product Data Sheet, you could compare to other brands available at local parts houses which may be more convenient and priced better.

Green coolants were popular many years ago but due to the stress on cooling systems, new advanced coolants were produced to handle the heat. Putting green in a newer vehicle would be detrimental to the overall performance of the cooling system.

I recommend researching alternatives so as not to overpay simply because Honda has hired someone to make their product. Many companies like Prestone, Amalie, Kost, etc make products for the OEM's.

The overflow tank is suppose to be low when the engine is cool. As the engine warms up the overflow tank level increases. If you are at MAX with a cold engine you have too much in there.
