1997 Ford F150. Recently installed rebuilt engine after purchasing truck used. Wasn't really expecting to have to do that, but hey I get to start with new engine. Mechanic said we could do a cylinder head rebuild but I opted for a complete engine swap. Body in pretty good shape really. Just at about 3000 miles after swap. Using conventional now but will be moving to blend or full synthetic later.

Oil change:

Out: 6 quarts Supertech 5w20 and Motorcraft filter. Something cheap during break in miles. Doing short OCIs. This one was 1000 miles. Previous changes were a few hundred miles. Goal was to rinse out the metal flakes until they were gone.

In: 6 quarts PYB 5w20 and Motorcraft filter. Stepping up the game. Keeping in for longer OCIs now. Now will be doing Ford recommended 3000 miles

2004 Toyota Highland with a 3.3L V6. Vehicle has 265,000 miles on the odometer.

OUT: 4 quarts of M1 5W30 and Bosch Distance + filter. Oil/Filter had 6,100 miles and burned 1 quart.

IN: 5 quarts of M1 5W30 and Bosch Premium filter. Next OCI will use a WIX filter.
