Direction arrow on master cylinder cap

Was under the hood of my Accord and noticed the brake MC cap has "Front" with an arrow printed on it. How come the orientation of the cap matters? Mine's been facing the wrong direction for several years now, likely since the last brake fluid change. It still twists shut regardless of direction.

Just a guess, but it might have something to do with where the breather hole is on the cap? maybe they figure if the arrow is pointing forward there is less of a chance of water or other foreign material being sucked in


But again, just a guess. Maybe someone else will have the true answer

Probably because of the wires attached to the cap.
